Membership Requirements

To be a member of Colorado Spirit Chorus, you must:

  • Be a woman or non-binary individual who sings in the soprano or alto range. Our arrangements typically use SSAA voicings.
  • Be able to attend rehearsals on Monday nights from 6:30pm-9:00pm, on time and without frequent absences.
  • Be able to pay membership dues, along with occasional expenses for special events.
  • Be able to learn our music and sing your part accurately.
  • Be committed to personal growth and improvement as a singer and a member of the chorus.
  • Be supportive of fellow chorus members and help foster an environment of belonging.
Financial Requirements
Regular Member

Regular membership dues are currently $45.08 per month. In addition to these regular monthly dues, new members must also make a one-time payment of $300.08 upon joining. This fee includes:

  • 1st year of Sweet Adelines International Membership*: $125.00
  • 1st year of Region 8 Membership and Contest Ticket*: $130.00
  • 1st month of Colorado Spirit Chapter dues: $45.08

*Future years of Sweet Adelines International and Region 8 dues are built into the member's monthly Colorado Spirit dues.

Youth Member (25 years or younger)

Youth membership dues are currently $27.71 per month. In addition to these regular monthly dues, new members must also make a one-time payment of $195.21 upon joining. This fee includes:

  • 1st year of Sweet Adelines International Membership*: $62.50
  • 1st year of Region 8 Membership and Contest Ticket*: $105.00
  • 1st month of Colorado Spirit Chapter dues: $27.71

*Future years of Sweet Adelines International and Region 8 dues are built into the member's monthly Colorado Spirit dues.

Associate Member

An Associate membership is a special type of membership that allows members to maintain their Colorado Spirit Chorus membership (including their Sweet Adelines International membership) with some limitations on membership benefits. People typically choose this membership when they are unable to attend rehearsals regularly due to medical procedures, extended vacations, or other major life events. Associate membership dues are $372.00 per year (or $31 per month).
